A range of fragrance oils ideal for use in oil burners, to create ambient scents throughout your home or sacred space. Various fragrances create a different ambience depending on what you need, some examples of fragrances and their uses found below. Use at your altar, during rituals, Sabbats/Esbats or magick, for your home, during meditation to stimulate your senses, these oils can also be used to re-fragrance potpourri. If you are a little “crafty” and make your own candles or wax melts, these can also be added to the mix to create fragrances candles. These oils are ideal if you can’t tolerate burning resins or incense. Either use for magickal purposes or just a a great way to scent your home. Scents include; Sandalwood, Patchouli, Jasmine, Asian Spice, Ylang Ylang, and Nag Champa.
Jasmine: - An ideal fragrance when working moon Magick. Has been used historically in love, money and prophetic workings. Honour the triple goddess, or female deities such as Isis, Selene, Diana with this fragrance oil. Fill your room or space with the heady scent, reminding you of those warm summer nights as jasmine sets itself on the breeze.
Patchouli:- A strongly scented perfume and powerful earthly tone, this has a variety of uses. Often used in spells concerning money and for Magick of a romantic nature. Great for grounding oneself when doing spiritual work, use for protection, banishing and purification and working with earth element.
Sandalwood: Effective for removing nasty niffs! A nostalgic fragrance which relaxes brainwaves and reduces stress, especially useful in meditation. The scent aids protection during spell casting and increases spiritual vibrations during full moon rituals
Nag Champa: A hugely recognisable scent, Nag Champa is normally a combination of sandalwood and champak (magnolia) or frangipani (when it is known as just Champa). This oil is harmonising and purifying for your space and a nice oil to use during meditation or deep relaxation. Transport yourself away in your mind to the the jungles, villages and markets of India, where floral notes uplift and brings your spiritual journey inwards.
Ylang Ylang: Another über heady, feminine scent, Ylang Ylang literally means “Flower of flowers”. Originally used in aphrodisiac incenses and perfumes it is said to relax the feminine state, helping to overcome negative feelings, fears and insecurities which obviously has a knock on effect when it comes to the bedroom! It can also be used for dispelling negative emotions such as jealousy, frustration, anger and insecurity that prevent one from moving on. There is such as too much of a good thing as adding too much can cause headaches, so literally a couple of drops will do of this one…but at least it lasts longer!
Asian Spice: Warming and comforting, bring a little sense of the exotic to your space. Many of the warm spices add a little fire energy to magicking, bringing about a quick return when manifesting or intention setting and they often aid in protection magick.
