When the weather outside is frightful…yup, windy n rainy sees me cwtched indoors and finding bits to do- other than the ironing! I’ve made a couple of pairs of these, each one a little different - well no two pumpkins are the same in real life, so being a lover of nature figured I’d do the same. Inspired by these Autumnal days, with Samhain around the corner I’ve been turning my hand to creating things to match the mood. Plus a little poem!
From the pumpkin patch of the faeries of the Wytchwood
“As Autumn draws its shadows, and sets across its veil,
I’ll tell a little story, a magickal woodland tale.
For the Faeries of the Wytchwood, are busy amongst the trees,
Helping Mother Nature, plucking off all the leaves,
Painting forest bough in orange, gold and red
Making shelters for the animals and comfy, cozy beds.
Fluttering twixt the branches, dodging raindrops as they fly,
Working by glow worm light and starlight from up high.
When the sun awakes and morn is light,
They cuddle up under mushroom cap, it’s time for sleep Nighty night.” Written by meee! 😋
Each pumpkin will vary in an attempt to make them a little more miniature lifelike, hung on silver plated ear hooks.
