Boneset belongs to the same botanical family as echinacea and daisy (Asteraceae), it grows primarily in North America. Native Americans used boneset as a treatment for a wide range of infectious and fever-related conditions. Boneset is an immune stimulant and diaphoretic that helps fight off minor viral infections, such as the common cold.
A herb of protection, exorcism and warding off evil spirits. Sprinkle an infusion of boneset around the home to rid it of evil and negativity. To curse an enemy, burn as an incense with a black candle inscribed with the name of the enemy (not recommended -- remember the law of threes!). Use in spell bags/charms to protect yourself and loved ones from harmful energies - can be used in mojo bags around the home, or a medicine bag to keep with you to guard from negative forces. A great herb for adding to cleansing and healing incenses when the weight of negativity bears down.
