Resins when burned, emit a holy smoke and beautiful fragrance that is though to clear negative energies, allows connections with our higher consciousness, spiritual realms and Increase vibrations to a higher level. They are also used to heal, balance and protect our physical and energetic bodies. The oldest form of incense, used across many continents in ancient times as in now. Taken from trees, a small cut is made into the bark of the tree, allowing the sap to rise and dry forming the resin, or sometimes they are formed from the bark itself.
They may be burnt in a censer or cauldron on top of a smouldering charcoal disc, or atop an oil burner to gently release the aromas. Be mindful though, these get sticky and very hot, so please don’t poke with your finger as you are likely to find a glob of burning hot glue stuff stuck to your skin. Thankfully I am not talking from experience, but I have watched how they turn into some form of treacle goo! So be careful if you have kiddies or pets about and never leave it burning unattended.
Why not team with one of my cauldrons, burners or censers? All available on the site!

Normally bright red in colour (hence the name) it was used in medieval ritual magick and alchemy. Uses include money, love and protection spells and as an incense to cleanse a space of negative entities or influence. The resin can be crushed into powder and mixed with high strength alcohol (such as rubbing alcohol) to create an ink for creating sigils, spells or anointing your candles. This bright red, powdered resin, unquestionably reminiscent of blood, has long been revered for its magical potency. In accordance with the doctrine of signatures it was used as a substitute for blood and thought to possess some of the same qualities.
