Handmade in Spain, these soaps are hand cut into slices by yours truly. Beautifully made from fine ingredients, they look and smell stunning as well as being a range of soaps that are great for the skin. Olive Oil soaps were one of the first vegetable made soaps, these are hand made using traditional cold process making method. Soaps created with vegetable oils have many beneficial properties for skin and are also SLS and parabens free. The natural fat provides protection, improves skin tone, softness and youth of skin through restructuring oil action. Each soap has special properties relating to essential oils and other natural ingredients in them, these are a little softer than standard soaps due to the oil within them. Of course being me, I’ve added my witchy take on them too!
Rosehip - Smoothing and replenishing, this soap has a super team of Rosehip oil and olive oil adds a pep to dry, mature skin. The fruit of Rosa Canina is a very rich source of vitamins and minerals, especially in vitamins A, C and E, flavanoids and other bio-active compounds. It is also a fairly good source of essential fatty acids, which is fairly unusual for a fruit. Rosehip oil helps in toning and firming of the skin, it evens the skin tone and the lovely rosehip smell aids relaxation. A little self love can be found with magickal rose and rosehip, so give yourself a little time to relax in shower or bath and focus on yourself. Rosehips are also associated with luck, peace, money, friendships and much more. Provide yourself with a little magickal boost as you wash with these magickal attributes!
Green Tea - A great anti-oxidant, removes the days pollutants and grime that blocks skin pores. Green tea extracts are rich in anti-oxidants and, therefore may delay skin ageing and prevent wrinkles. The soap also has some anti bacterial properties and is said to soothe skin irritations and help in prevention of acne. The tea leaves in the soap help exfoliate and cleanse the skin, and the olive oil extracts leave it feeling fresh and moisturised. The scent of green tea brings about calm and harmony with the world, useful after a hard day! Associated with joy and hope, is useful to set your intentions for the day too, if you’re a morning washer!
Propolis - Honey is often used for the healing of skin, but propolis is the most packed with vital nutrients to support the skin. Propolis has antiviral, antibiotic, antiallergenic and analgesic properties. It is used to treat fungal infections, ulcers and wounds and has proved effective in the treatment of acne and psoriasis. Anything bee associated is often used for teamworking and to aid prosperity through hard work and effort.
Rosemary - Relieve those achy and tired muscles! Rosemary is anti-inflammatory, soothing and skin-improving, great for spot prone skin.It is also used to treat muscle aches. Magickally used for a whole variety of things including, bear with me; Healing, Protection, Love, Wisdom, Health, Cleansing, Purifying, Improved Memory, Sea Rituals and Exorcism. So the list is long, but the one that stands out to me for this particular soap would be the cleansing and purifying nature of the herb. We live in a world of energy, some of which we pick up during the day from both people and places so I think is a great one to cleanse yourself free of the day and any energies that may cause to linger.
Lavender - Probably requires no introduction, but is great for unwinding after a hard day, when you want your mind to switch from high gear to low and settle you off to sleep or just for relaxing. Lavender contains tannins, which are antiseptic and wound-healing and protect the skin to assist healing. This soap contains the little pungent buds to really work its magic. Metaphysically it can be used for opening your third eye, so before you hop to bed, wash with this beaut to not only lull you to sleep, but aid dream visions too. It is also cleansing and purifying, which may prove useful if you work in a negative environment to wash away the days yucky energies.
Argan - You may have used this on your barnet for smoothing frizzy bits, but argan oil is great for the skin too! Argan Oil is one of the rarest oils in the world, but is a robust, nutty oil made largely in Morocco from the nuts of the Argan tree. It’s chockfull of essential fatty acids, anti-oxidants, vitamins and minerals that promote overall health by moisturising, softening as well as protecting skin and hair from sun damage without harmful toxins and Parabens. Oils in ancient times were used to consecrate oneself and used as offering to various deities. Treat yourself like a God or Goddess and leave your skin ever so silky smooth and smelling great.
Donkey Milk - Yes, I do love a little bit of the unusual! Heard of goats milk for eczema? Well this is donkey milk! Now before you recoil at the thought, there are quite a few benefits to using this on your skin! Being hydrating, regenerating and softening, reduces skin irritation, anti- ageing, prevents bacterium and great for skin prone to eczema, acne, neurodermatitis or psoriasis! Milk is quite often used as an offering, especially through the spring months to a number of deities.
Herb of Grace - Comes with added Rue Essential Oil. The benefits of Rue essential oil can be attributed to its properties as an anti-arthritic, anti-rheumatic, antibacterial, anti-fungal, insecticidal, sedative, digestive, anti-epileptic, and anti-hysteric substance. The anti-fungal properties of rue also help to heal the de-complexion of the skin, to reveal a more beautiful and clear skin. The antioxidant properties of rue ensure that your skin repels the free radicals that cause premature ageing of the skin, keeping your skin young and happy. In addition, it is known as a magic, lucky plant that protects you from spells and drives away evil spirits.
